Selected as Party of the Day on July 15th!
Cupcakes & Tea
ByParty Recap
My sister was getting married and as her twin, I had to throw her a great party. We'd really gotten into cupcakes, love tea, and our party enthusiasm started around the time of her party. Being a party beginner, I wanted to make everything look consistent and customized. The color scheme was borrowed from her wedding colors, but with a different pattern and theme. My big sister helped, and we thought a cupcake decorating station would be a great shower activity, in lieu of traditional bridal games. We had some samples in cupcake pedestals (not photographed, unfortunately) and others to around the cake. We had traditional tea treats, and tea "bar" and incorporated tea pots into centerpiece decorations. We also provided cupcake to-go boxes as favors, for guests to take their decorated cupcakes with them. It encouraged them to make more than one, which was great! My sister was blown away, especially since our exposure to professional parties was limited at the time. But, this party was the start for more great ones to come!
