Party Recap

Me & my cousin Liz planned everything. The colors were inspired by a baby blanket I crocheted. We got a million ideas on Pinterest, and it turned out so much better than we could have ever hoped. My sister loved everything, and everyone had a great time! More info on the shower here: http://www.seriouslydaisies.com/search/label/Pink%20and%20Gray%20Baby%20Shower

Sara, I'm glad you like the shower, thank you. The printable are available on my blog, the link is in my profile. For the macaroons I wanted to use this recipe: http://www.thepinkwhisk.co.uk/2011/01/raspberry-white-chocolate-macaroons.html But I didn't want to figure out the US measurements, so I used it as a guide. And used this recipe for the macaroons: http://www.marthastewart.com/317220/raspberry-macaroons Of course I changed the colors to match the other macaroons. THen I used this recipe for the white chocolate buttercream: http://www.food.com/recipe/white-chocolate-buttercream-frosting-130623 And this recipe for the raspberry sauce: http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/emeril-lagasse/raspberry-sauce-recipe/index.html

I wish links would post. Grrrr, I hope you can figure out the websites I tried to link, and copy and paste everything. I had it all separated, but when I submitted, it scrunched everything up! For the cake pops, I don't use a recipe, I just googled cake pops, and pretty much just follow guidelines. But instead of putting the sticks in styrofoam, I set the cake pops on wax paper, with the straws up, so they get a flat spot on the bottom and don't roll away. I used Wiltons Pink Candy Melts, and gray paper straws from Amazon, and i cut the straws in half. :)

Finally, the marshmallows were really simple. I used huge marshmallows. But any size would work. Insert the stick, then di them in candy melts. I used Wiltons pink for one, and dyed the other with Wiltons Candy dyes. I think I used pink and red and black coloring, but I'm not positive. With black only add a tiny amount at a time. Then I added sprinkles, and let them cool. I bought the ribbon, sprinkles, sticks, candy melts and coloring all at Michaels. Hope that helps. :):)

Hello! I love this idea! i was just wondering where you found nipples big enough to fit in the top of a mason jar?

  • Kimberly Y

    Kimberly Y wrote:

Thanks! Liz bought them from Dollar Tree, and the person she got the idea from bought these ones: http://www.amazon.com/Evenflo-Elan-Slow-Silicone-Nipple/dp/B000RFCOX4. :):)

    Amanda B wrote:

were they just normal size nipples and normal size mason jars or were the mason jars a little smaller?

  • Kimberly Y

    Kimberly Y wrote:

We used the 1 quart smooth ball jars, Liz bought them from Michaels. I still have the jar, and it looks like she glued the nipples on. So the ones from Dollar Tree were too small to fit without gluing. But they worked out just fine. I measured the lid, and the nipple would need to be 2.5 inches wide to fit, if you didn't want to use glue. Hope that helps!

what size nipples did you use for this baby bottle cookie? any tips on where to get them cheap along with the mason jars thank you

  • Kimberly Y

    Kimberly Y wrote:

Hi Kristine, Liz bought the nipples at Dollar Tree, and we actually had to glue them on because they were too small, and it worked perfectly. I'm sure you can search and find some that are a perfect fit, but they would probably cost more. And she bought the jars at Michaels, they were the plain ones, without the logos, they cost more than the others you can buy at Walmart and stuff. Good luck!! :):)
