Party Recap

My son loves the show Odd Squad on PBS, so of course he requested it as his theme for his 6th birthday party this past year. The show is fairly new so there was not many party supplies available online. I was excited to get creative!

Party Highlights

  • What People Ate

Since we were at a campsite the food was all barbecue. Standard hot dogs, burgers and chicken.

  • Desserts

The cake I purchased from a local bakery. I picked it up in the morning of the party and drove it out the hour and a half to the campsite where my family was staying.

  • Party Favors

I made t-shirts for the kids with a red tie painted on it (from the show) and Odd Squad badges. The badges had a piece of adhesive velcro that stuck on to each childs shirt. The goodie bags were dollar store yellow bags with the Odd Squad emblem pasted on the front. Each bad had candies, finger lasers, stamps, and other little toys.

  • Activities / Games

The children had a punch box (made by me and my husband) instead of a pinata. We also created a laser maze with yarn tied up in between trees. My husband drew an Odd Squad agent that was missing a badge. The kids took turns pinning one on. They also had an obstacle challenge (not pictured) that they needed to complete with a "Centigurp" balanced on their heads. The children loved the activities, even those that weren't familiar with the show.
