Party Recap

Seeing lots of friends but avoiding lots of cooking? Not the easiest combo, unless you make your guests make their own meal. We invited a big crew over for dinner, set up a deluxe serve-yourself grilled cheese buffet, and let people get to it.

Fishing line helped to hang the simple instructions from the counter to the ceiling – it even looked pretty cool from the backside. Once the decorations were up, we just prepped some sample sandwiches, mostly taken from the awesome menu at Earl’s in NYC, and a big pot of roasted red pepper soups. And that was about it. Even clean up was a breeze. Not a bad way to get credit as hostess while enjoying the party yourself.
