Party Recap

My little guy’s 1st year went by so quickly! His pirate themed party took nearly 12 months in the making. I got the idea to do his party on the beach, while on a family vacation at our time share, in San Clemente, CA. From there, everything fell into place very nicely.
I created a few DIY projects for the party. The projects included a pirate teepee, a ship’s mast, a sword shack, and painted car wash buckets, that served as seating, for the little party guests.
I can’t believe how quickly our little Dylan’s first birthday party came & went! But it was perfectly celebrated with lots of love, and wonderful vendors that helped make it so special!

Party Highlights

  • What People Ate

We served the kids gold coin nuggets, sweet corn on the cob, and mini cups of fruit. The adults feasted on chicken & veggie kabobs, kale salad, and beans.

  • Desserts

My little guy’s 3-tiered pirate cake was nothing less than spectacular! The detail, and love that was put into it, was just amazing. Not to mention, delicious! We also had yummy mini oreo cookies that had the most detailed treasure maps, swords, and hooks that I’ve ever seen! We also served cupcakes that I bought from the grocery store. I added some fabulous ship cupcake toppers.

  • Party Favors

The guests got to take home black flip flops {perfect for the little beach-goers}, swords, eye patches, goody bags that were filled with bubbles, ring pops, along with a few other “treasures”. And to help contain all their pirate’s booty, they carried everything home in their bucket seats!
