Emmie's Golden Birthday

My daughters' first birthday happened to be her "golden birthday" (turning 1 on the 1st) so I planned a "little golden books" themed party. Using book pages from thrift store golden books I made most of the decor. It was a beautiful day and an adorable party.

• What People Ate

  Mostly picnic food. We BBQ hamburgers and hot dogs, had watermelon, grapes, veggies, deviled eggs, baked beans, and chips.

• What People Drank

  Using glass jars and paper straws we Strawberry lemonade and regular lemonade (which matched the pink and yellow color theme well).

• Desserts

  Homemade chocolate and vanilla cupcakes with pink frosting

• Party Favors

  Little golden books and pinwheels made from book pages

• Activities / Games

  Coloring, bubbles, sidewalk chalk, a slide and water table were available for the kids to play with as well as other misc toys

  Lacy made the modge podged E and got the party balloons for me.
