Party Recap

Our guests were invited to join us for an Adventure at Sea as we celebrated Sophia's 2nd and Ethan's 5th Birthdays. The Mermaid and Pirate theme is a perfect for a combination boy-girl party.

Party Highlights

  • What People Ate

We served Mermaid themed "Submarine Sandwiches" with "Sea Shell Pasta", "Watermelon Stars" and "Grape Seaweed Skewers". For those looking for a hearty pirate meal, we offered "Golden (chicken) Nuggents", "Fish 'n' Chips" and "Ocean Jello"

  • What People Drank

The refrigerator was stocked with water bottles labeled "Sea Water", Juices and blue Kool-Aid squeezes for the kids. The dispensers were filled with ice cold Lemonade and Iced Tea.

  • Desserts

We offered 2 cakes; The pirate cake was chocolate with vanilla bean buttercream and the Mermaid cake was blueberry swirl with blueberry filling. Additional sweets included chocolate covered Oreos & Rice Krispy Treats and Oyster Cookies.

  • Party Favors

The Mermaids received burlap "treasure" bags filled with mermaid jewelry and treasures and the Pirates' bags included eye patches, coins, maps, pencils and other pirate loot.

  • Activities / Games

Pirate and Mermaid themed activities filled the afternoon. Both Pirates and Mermaids decorated foam swords with rhinestones and glitter glue before painting Mermaid and Pirate themed sun catchers. Everyone enjoyed the face painter and the piñata and the girls finished with filling sand necklaces whiles the boys hid and searched for gold coins.
