Party Recap...
Traditional fairy themed party, with fairy-sized invitations, a fairy-sized buffet, lots of take home crafts, and loads of magical fun!
Party Highlights
Best Moment
I loved seeing the girls eyes light up as we found each hidden spot in the yard where fairies were hiding!
Best Dressed
My daughter was looking very much the part. We pulled her outfit together by using dance wear and pinning flowers everywhere - even on her shoes and in her hair!
What People Ate
A Fairy-sized buffet of Fairy Flakes (Special K cereal), Chipmunk Chips (banana chips), Acorns (chocolate covered almonds), Chocolate Dew Drops (chocolate chips), Fairy Dust (cotton candy), and Fairy Berries (grapes/berries).
What People Drank
"Nectar" (fruit punch)
Do you believe in fairies?
Dessert
Fairy Cakes - cupcakes.
Activities / Games
A book about where to find fairies lead us on our very own fairy hunt in the yard. We found a fairy trail (glitter along the fence) which lead us to "Sun Drops" in a flower pot. We found wish rocks which lead us to a tiny fairy hiding in a bush. We found a fairy sized door and window on a tree stump. We found a fairy house in the garden. And we heard fairy music (a wind up music box with rotating fairies in it) concealed by some trees. After the scavenger hunt we went inside and made the thigns we found - fairy houses, wish rocks, plus some butterflies made from soffee filters with marker drawings on them, sprayed with water to blend the colors, and then twisted into butterfly shaped using silver pipe cleaners.
Party Favors
Fairy themed bags with rock candy (because it sparkles!), Fairy Dust necklaces, Sun Drops (yellow marbles), Fairy House (mini bird house decorated by each girl at party), Wish rock (another party craft), and butterfly (also a party craft).
