Party Recap

Who doesn't LOVE Disney!

I had the pleasure of co-hosting a Bridal Shower for Savvy's co-owner Adriana, with our sister and Maid of Honor Yisel.

We set out to create a "grown up" Disney bridal shower for our lovely Bride to Be! We opted for pink and blue for our palette but couldn't decide on an accent color. Silver or gold... And gold took the cake! I couldn't have been happier with that choice it really tied everything together so well and made it so chic. The goal was to create a romantic, sophisticated, "girly" day for our bride and I believe we accomplished that.

The bride doesn't have a sweet tooth she has sweet teeth so we had to create a dessert table fit for a princess. Bridesmaids were asked to bring a dessert to share with our guests and it gave them the opportunity to show off their baking skills. Each treat was labeled with a Disney inspired name, I think my favorite was the Poisoned Apple Pie! And the beautiful cake created by Mix Bake Decorate in Chino, CA was to die for! We gave her a copy of the invitation and she ran with the creativity making our tiered vision come to life. Plus it tasted wonderful and when we cut into it we were surprised with one last detail, a pink ombre inside which was just gorgeous. To carry out our girly theme we adorned the tables with chevron champagne table runners, gold chargers, "glass slipper" dining plates, and gold dinglehoppers (forks). Even the napkins were folded to represent a Disney characters signature accessory...Miss Minnie Mouse of course.

To finish off our wonderful time together we invited the guests to enjoy our coffee station set up, complete with Mickey Mouse coffee stirrers, different types of creamer and custom stamped napkins with one of the Brides favorite quotes. All the guests had a great time enjoying each others company, sharing stories and getting to spend some intimate time with the guest of honor before she says "I DO". This was definitely a bridal shower fit for a princess, in fact I bet Cinderella herself was a little jealous of this gorgeous celebration.
And it does not hurt that our Bride to Be is friends with Cake Mamas Owner, Janelle Copeland. Janelle wasn’t able to make it to the shower but she sent a very elegant, delicious cake for her guests to enjoy. What a blessing to have such gracious, talented friends who want to make your day special.
