Glitter, Snow, and Snowflakes was all I needed to create a Frozen theme celebration for my own little girl’s 5th Birthday. Seriously, what little girl (and mother) is not obsessed with anything Frozen? My princess, Alyssa, is no exception and I felt like Elsa throwing glitter and snow everywhere. I was inspired by Elsa’s sparkly blue dress so I chose to use shades of light blues and teal colors and accent with glitter and snowflakes anywhere I could.
In an outdoor setting and in the middle of summer, I tried to create a small “Kingdom of Arendelle” covered in snow. Arendelle flags were hung from each post just like in the movie and all tables were sprinkled with (plastic) snow. Glittered snowflakes in shades of blue, silver, and fuchsia were hung from the ceiling. Olaf welcomed the hot summer scene by having “a drink in his hand and getting gorgeously tanned”. With a few cans of snow spray, I sprayed the goody bags and drink bottles.
The dessert table was filled with snow and winter inspired treats: frozen ice (jello), snowballs (coconut truffles), Snowflakes (cookies), Snow caps ( Sno-caps chocolate), snowflake lollipops, cupcakes, and chocolates. The cake was the centerpiece of the table and it was incredibly gorgeous and perfectly detailed. To add the finishing touches, snow was sprinkled all over the table.
Guest tables were decorated with movie inspired centerpieces such as Anna and Elsa in snow filled vases, Kristoff and Sven in a sleigh with real carrots, and flower vases with glitter branches. My favorite detail was the “Love” signs. “Love will thaw a frozen heart” was such a beautiful message from the movie that I wanted to somehow include it in the party. Guest place settings were decorated with glittered utensils and detailed napkin rings. Of course, more snow was scattered everywhere.
Upon arrival, each little girl had her hair braided like either Elsa or Ana. A white hair extension was added to their hair to mimic Anna’s white streak of hair. Like the birthday girl said “I was struck by Elsa”. Each little girl also had the option to use hair glitter, paint their nails in blue and silver, and wear lip balm. To complete the party, the birthday girl enjoyed blowing her candle and singing her rendition of “Let it Go”.

This cake also inspired me! So I took this image to a bakery and they copied it. Was very expensive though. Made of fondant. Ice castle at top is caramelized, broken sugar. Beautiful! I posted my bakery's version under "Georgia's Frozen Birthday Party" - good luck!
