Disney's Jungle River Cruise for Gideon's First Birthday Party

I knew I wanted Gideon's party to have some kind of Disneyland theme, but it wasn't till we saw his eyes light up on a Jungle River Cruise that we decided on this particular attraction. Almost everything came off exactly as I'd hoped (in spite of the 108* heat) and the splash pad and homemade elephant sprinkler were a huge success (because of the 108* heat). I made all of the signs using chalkboard paper, but the real genius behind them are the infamous Jungle Cruise puns, which if you've ever ridden, you know all to well. The que music, starring Albert Awol, played softly in the background, and the crowning glory was the dole whip floats. All-in-all it was a perfect, pun-tastic party.

  Bengal Beef Bbq Skewers (Korean beef), Chieftain Chicken (korma), Safari Skewers (bacon wrapped asparagus), Snake Meat (hot dogs), Tiger Tails (grilled breadsticks), man-eating piranhas (gold fish crackers), pineapple spears, and pickles.

  Jungle Juice (strawberry guava tea) and Wamba Water

  Cake and Dole whip floats.

  Bubble Station, splash pad and piñata.
