Party Recap

We came up with “Glamchella” as a luxe, adult take on the Coachella themed parties we’ve been seeing so often lately. All either ‘name-chella’ or ‘kid-chella’ events, all bright and colourful, all held during the day. We wanted to celebrate the nightlife of the festival, when the boho dresses are hung up and the sparklers come out with the stars. So we turned it into a 21st.
Focusing on a white and gold luxe colour scheme, with cacti as our greenery we wanted to steer clear of palm trees and pastels. One of the first things we did was develop a name and a logo for the event. The logo we created is two stacked triangles, with the lines/diamonds spread out around in a semi-circle. The idea is that it’s an Aztec Sunset. Like the sun setting behind the Ferris wheel of the Coachella festival. We tried to incorporate the logo, or the triangle design throughout the event where possible. You’ll see it on our entrance arbour, cocktail tables (white drums), and on all our table top signage/menus.
All our events we try to give it one big wow factor to make it stand out against other events Our giant naked tepee with festoon lighting and a 10m balloon garland over top. With the lights from the DJ setup casting onto the white balloons it made it look that much more impressive throughout the entire event as they changed colours.
We setup ‘zones’ just like at a festival – we had a chill out area under our bell tent, with a low table setup for grazing. We of course had a food truck, caravan bar, cotton candy cart, lolly cart, sparkle bar, DJ & some cocktail tables setup around too. Our caravan bar served up some signature cocktails, served with some Delish Ice popsicles as a cocktail staple. Guests loved these on the hot night to help stay cooled down. Our food truck served up pizza, nachos & paella right out of the stand, with cotton candy being made just outside.

Party Highlights

  • What People Ate

Guests enjoyed nibbling at the grazing platters provided by Ps Pantry upon our boho grazing tables. For Dinner we served pizza, nachos & paella from our food stand which was adorned with fairy lights, cacti and acrylic menu. And it wouldn't be a festival without a cotton candy cart! For an hour of the night we had someone standing in making candy floss before guests were encouraged to DIY.

  • What People Drank

Guests enjoyed signature cocktail on arrival served out of Wanderers Picks Vintage Pop Up Caravan Bar. Choices between Glamchella Sunrise and Glamchella Illusion both drinks were served with a Delish Ice Pop which created the signature drink and doubled as a way to keep guests cool. Through the night guests enjoyed choices of wine, cider, beer and water. For speeches guests were encouraged to grab a glass of prosecco which were provided by Paper the Ninth with custom decals, and sat on the Lollie Trolley's Prosecco Wall.

  • Desserts

Dessert was served upon the Lollie Trolley's Lolly Cart, adorned with another white and gold balloon garland. Cakes 2 Celebrate created a beautiful white fondant aztec cake and white chocolate magnum cake pops with gold flecks. The Cake was topped with a stunning on theme acrylic cake topper by XOXO Design. As well as the cake and cake pops, we also had a bed of white and gold sweets which sat some custom cookies from the Lux Cookie Co - white fondant sugar cookies with gold foil and '21 Bitches' embossed.

  • Activities / Games

Entertainment was provided by DJ India Skai, though her light show was just as entertaining the way the lights reflected off the large 10m balloon garland. We also enjoyed Born to Sparkle's Sparkle Bar which was setup on a custom table, and guests were encouraged to go get glamed up on entrance to the party. They provided body glitter, jems, sparkles and tattoos for the guests all on theme!
