You know what is hard for a party planner? Having someone else plan a party for you! Handing over the reigns can be very challenging, but it was so rewarding. When I was pregnant with my youngest I had already thrown 2 beautiful baby showers for my best friend. I was tickled pink that she wanted to return the favor. Because the gender of the little one was a surprise a gender neutral shower was a little more challenging. I gave her a few links to ideas that I liked and then stepped back and was surprised when I walked in that afternoon.
What People Ate
Guests were served light refreshments of crudité, cheese, crackers and dip.
What People Drank
Fresh brewed iced tea and lemonade.
Cold Stone Creamery ice cream cupcakes.
The hostess set up a nostalgic candy buffet that was both decor and a party favor.
Activities / Games
The only game that we played was the Alternate Book Title Baby Shower Game from Pink Tea: http://pinktea-cj.blogspot.com/2010/04/baby-shower-owls-books-part-v.html
All guests were asked to bring a book instead of a greeting card. I loved having a stack books to take home.
Most Touching Moment
Another friend made the diaper cake, she printed out and made miniature golden books to decorate the diaper cake.
