Party Recap...
I wanted to throw my son a fun and unique first birthday party and since my family is full of golfers I thought a golf/argyle party would be really cute. I played off of golf words to create a sweet invitation with words like "1st Birdie Par-Tee"; "Don't forget to reserve your spot on the leaderboard by contacting Jack's Caddy", location was the ...Family Clubhouse, etc.
Party Highlights
Best Moment
Cake smashing
Most Touching Moment
When Jack's Great-Grandparents flew all the way in from Texas (8 hour travel time)
Funniest Moment
When Jack's Grammy picked him up for a picture and he started crying (because he's a huge Mama's boy) and she wrote on the chalkboard "Please don't cry when Grammy hold you!"
Best Dressed
Jack in his 'old school' golf attire complete with suspenders, a bowtie and Robeez golf shoes.
What People Ate
'Club' Sandwiches Giant Soft Pretzel 'Wedges' Fruit
What People Drank
Arnold Palmers (lemonade & Tea)
Chalkboard Messages
I had each guest write a message to Jack on a chalkboard and take their picture. All of these pictures will make up his guest book.
Dessert
Smash Cake, cupcakes, chocolate covered pretzel 'irons', marshmello pops, oreo pops (decorated like golf greens, argyle, & golf balls), cookies (golf greens, argyle sweater vests, monogramed golf bags, and golf balls)
Activities / Games
There was a Step2 putt putt course outside for the kids, coloring books and golf ball molded crayons, & pin the golf ball on the hole.
