Party Recap

Alexandra and Anthony are book and movie lovers. So when we began planning a late October baby shower in their honor, a Harry Potter Halloween costume party was the obvious choice. Hosted at the Common Room Studio, guests walked through Platform 9 3/4 onto the Hogwarts Express. Once arriving in Hogsmeade, they picked up a drink at the Three Broomsticks. The lunch feast (complete with book passages to remind you when the menu item was mentioned in the cannon) was set up in the Hogwarts Great Hall. The seating areas featured Death Eater wanted posters, and a Dolores Umbridge-inspired vignette. With the slightly older, coed guest list, we had just one activity - coloring an ABC book for the baby boy. On their way out, guests stopped by Honeydukes sweets shop and filled up a bag of candy.
