Selected as Party of the Day on September 3rd!
Henry's 1st Birthday
ByParty Recap
This party truly was a labor of love for my sweet baby boy. We did it open house style so people could come and go as they wanted (plus our house is a little small, so it was helpful if people left early, haha!). Because it was open house style, we decided to do a cupcake bar instead of a traditional cake. This allowed guests to eat their cake at their convenience, or just take it home with them. I spent weeks working on the decorations--I made all the puff balls (probably about 50 in all), the banners, signs, rosettes, bunting, pinwheels, etc. I used wrapping paper for a number of things including the table runner, wrapping boxes to stack items on the food tables, bunting, rosettes, etc. And a special treat for all of our adult guests was a special home brew made by my husband. Because honestly, how many adults enjoy going to children's birthday parties? =)
