My 3 year old asked for a Gollum themed party (she adores Gollum!), but I managed to convince her to go with hobbits more generally, so that the other four year olds wouldn't get freaked out. I have been dreaming of a Hobbit themed party for YEARS (well before Niamh was born), so I was outrageously excited when she came up with the theme. Hooray for raising geeky children! Lots of details and tutorials available on my blog at Tikkido.com.
Smaug's hoard cake, cotton candy spiderweb-wrapped dwarves, bilbo's brass (icing) buttons, gollum's raw and wriggling (gummy) fish, Orcrist, goblin cleaver peanut butter balls, Bilbo's seed cake, Bard the Bowman's skewered fruits.
Hairy hobbit feet flip flops, golden rings, LED lights of Earendil necklaces, LED Gandalf's Fireworks wands, Sting bubble swords, bubble pipes.
