Party Recap...
Hugh and I both turned 40 in April. So, we threw ourselved a party! We've earned it! We used New York City as our theme, as it is our favorite place to visit. The colors were red, black and white. We served Italian food and a delicious cake that was decorated with an NYC skyline by a talented friend of ours. There were special little touches like the favor tags that did double duty on the vases, as well (made by TomKat Studios), a handwritten menu board that was hung, photos of NYC that were used on the tables. It was a wonderful night. Love was all around!
Party Highlights
Best Moment
The best moment was when my childhood friend Lisa surprised me by bringing her mom. Her mom was my "other mother" growing up and is a cancer survivor. It was a priceless moment.
Funniest Moment
We had a quiz that we had our guests take. When we were reading the answers, it was hard for everyone to hear. My brother-in-law said "I have a bull horn in my car!" and ran out to get it!! I asked why he has a bull horn in his car, and he said "just in case I need it." Well, we needed it and it added some humor to the evening.
What People Ate
We had three choices of pastas to choose from, there choices of meats, and three choices of sauces. We also had Ceasar Salad and breadsticks.
