Party Recap

For me it is always a pleasure to see someone happy. I love being a part of my clients’ special moments especially of those who I’ve known all my life. This Elmo Inspired First Birthday party was design for my childhood best friend’s son Hugo. Since the birthday boy Hugo is still too young to decide on party themes he loves, his mother Isabel thought Sesame Street’s Elmo would make a cute and bright theme that everyone would enjoy especially him. She invited 45 of her closest family and friends to celebrate his special day.
The color scheme consisted of orange, yellow, white, red and minor touches of green. We placed our focused on Elmo’s face and the orange/white stripes to give it a more casual, modern and boyish look. The dessert table was dressed in white linen, adorned with an orange ribbon garland in front, a cute Elmo and letter H banner and a red runner going through the middle of the table. The table stood in front of a white backdrop which had the birthday banner in front and two color coordinated bundles of balloons on each side. We truly love collaborating with amazing talents and strive to maintain the look our designs by always using there wonderful products on our tables so for this specific theme we contacted Tamecka of Honeyprint who quickly modified her already existing Elmo package to match our theme. You might have seen her designs in our previous parties including this popular birthday party (http://blog.hwtm.com/2012/07/party-of-5-zebra-minnie-mouse-video-game-party-vintage-nautical-rainbow-elmo-pink-gold-bridal/)
The super cute and always delicious sweets were designed by Arlene Saint-Hilaire of Sprinkle Parade. And last but not least the Cake which always takes center stage on our tables was designed by Sarah De Jesus and beautifully executed by Chef Laury Saldana whose cakes always taste divine!

The kids all took home a custom “Hugo Street” Goodies bag designed by and enjoyed being entertainment by the super funny Lali The clown who did the face-painting, balloon art, danced with them and treated each of them with a big cotton candy!
