Party Recap

my son is a HUGE superhero fan so naturally his birthday party theme HAD to be superhero. Because the new Avengers movie came out this year it was super easy to find fun Marvel candy/novelties for the day. My favorite feature would have to be the Giant newspaper article on my son which i designed and printed as A0 size which is now used in his bedroom. I really love being able to re-use items after the party is over. Another favorite of mine was the D.C candy sticks I just love the retro look of them.

Party Highlights

  • What People Ate

We served party pies, sausage rolls and 'wonder dogs'

  • What People Drank

The children got juice boxes and Hulk 'PUNCH' which was lime soda. The adults also got a Hulk themed cocktail which was champagne lemon/lime green sorbet topped with purple nerds.

  • Desserts

For sweets we had lots of lollies! Krptonite handbooks which were stapled onto pop rocks and green Wizz fizz. Marvel candy filled heads, iron man and Hulk push pops, Super man and Batman chocolate lollipops, Marvel lollipops, D.C comic candy sticks and of course cupcakes with wafer superhero logos.

  • Party Favors

Each guests received superhero stickers, a marvel head filled with candy and a prize, and bubbles.

  • Activities / Games

We had the foam green hulk hands and we painted a red brick pattern on cardboard boxes for guests to 'Hulk Smash' through. Outside we had a bouncy castle for all the smaller children to enjoy and the bigger kids had 'spider web' shooters which were silly string to capture villains. I painted a large refrigerator cardboard box and turned it into a telephone booth for children to get dressed up in with a box full of superhero costumes and masks for each guests to try on and I hired super hero capes from the Organised chaos.

    Party hire

I hired the silk capes from Emma at the organised chaos. Emma went above and beyond to help me out by posting the capes and saved me the long trip to pick them up.

Can you share your black & white poster size bio template? I love the idea & theme. I'm planning a classic superhero theme for my 5 year old as well.
