My biggest little girl's birthday is always in the middle of summer, so an ice cream party was a great way to keep her little guests cool! The marquee was decorated in bright gelato colours - pink, blue, yellow and white. When a group of excited little girls arrived, we started with ice cream themed activites - colouring in and ice cream sundae mask making, and bead bracelet making. After this we served 'Ice cream shoppe' lunch- mini hotdogs and hot chips, all washed down with strawberry pink milkshakes. The dessert table was open after lunch. The dessert table was laden with sweet treats including; ice cream cone cupcakes, fruit cups, jelly shots, old school pop corn boxes and various types of candy, including ice cream lollies! After the girls enjoyed their sugar rush, we played a game of 'put the cherry on top of the ice cream' which was a themed version of 'pin the tail on the donkey'. Miss 6 requested cup cakes as her birthday cake, so the cup cakes were joined together and decorated to look like an ice cream cone with multiple scoops of ice cream on top!! It was then time for the Ice cream shoppe to open. The girls enjoyed choosing between various flavours of ice cream and sorbet and decorating their own sundaes in special sundae cups. To thank her guests for coming, each girl got an ice cream pail to fill up with treats from the dessert table, and a big pink swirled lolly pop, to take home. It was a lovely day!
