Isabela's Tasty Tea Party

Our little cousin Isabela turned 15! The event was a tea party with all the Tias (Aunts) and closest cousins. About 30 guests in total were treated to "high tea". We all swooned over the decorations and especially loved the cupcake designs. Uncle Dave prepared some tasty hor d'oeuvres and my favorite, plantain patties with cheese. The shrimp with salmon spread was delish too! The cake table was so adorable. The cake with the tea pot pouring into a cup was very creatively designed. We all wanted to devour all the sweets and finally had our chance after we sang to the birthday girl. Isabela had a great time and it was so exciting to see her smile the whole time.

  We ate cucumber sandwiches, chicken sandwiches, shrimp with salmon spread on melba toast, and plantain patties with cheese.

• Desserts

  Cake, homemade coconut flan, cupcakes, cookies, marshmallows powdered with coconut flakes, pecan biscuits, and huevitos de faltriquera (pasrty rolled in a ball made from milk and eggs and wrapped in tissue paper). Shout out to Maggie's Cake Shop for the cake and Creative Cakes by Vanessa for the cupcakes and cookies!
