Jaya's Lalaloopsy 7th Birthday!
ByParty Recap
My daughter is obsessed with everything Lalaloopsy! It was only right to have a Lalaloopsy birthday party for her. She wanted to include all of her faves and dressed up like one of them, Rosy Bumps and Bruises, with an adorable apron made by Josette's Aprons on Etsy.
I decided on the color scheme of pink, yellow, and aqua and the printables were custom made by the wonderful Stacy of Stacy's Sweet Stuff on Etsy. I used the patterns from the printables and Lalaloopsy elements like buttons and thread throughout the décor of the party.
The food and treats were either Lalaloopsy inspired or themed and included button peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, cold cut sandwiches, fruits and veggies, turquoise lemonade to match the color scheme, and popcorn. The desserts included home made lemon blueberry cupcakes and strawberry cake pops made by me, the little fondant Lalaloopsy toppers were made by Claudia of Claudia Cupcake Lady on Etsy. There was also chocolate button pops made by me, and Lalaloopsy chocolate lollipops made by Yvette of Tazty Treatz on Etsy. The cake was just from Walmart (but very very tasty) and I decorated it with a couple of my daughter's Lalaloopsy dolls, a couple of paper straws, yarn and buttons.
I made the favors which were gumball necklaces with a Lalaloopsy pencil topper turned charm and a thank you tag attached for the girls. The boys got bags of gumballs. All of the styling and décor like centerpieces and the fabric scrap banner, paper fans, and Lalaloopsy photo props were done by me, KaraCakes Boutique on etsy www.etsy.com/karacakesboutique or www.facebook.com/karacakesboutique.
We played Lalaloopsy Bingo with buttons and the kids made their own Lalaloopsies using yarn, crayons and markers. They had a blast!
