Party Highlights

  • What People Ate

Pasta salad, blue jello, fruit, veggies, chicken and tuna salad sandwiches, and crackers and cheese.

  • What People Drank

Blue punch - made with Hawaiian Punch, lemon-lime soda, and vanilla ice cream.

  • Desserts

    Cupcakes.

  • Party Favors

Blue bars of soap, and yellow rubber ducky shaped soaps - with favor tags reading "From Our Shower to Yours"

  • Activities / Games

Gift Bingo - Guests had to write what gifts they thought the new parents would get in the squares before the gifts were opened, and then cross them off as the gifts were opened. The first person to get a Bingo won a prize. Dirty Diapers - various candy bars were melted and placed inside different diapers. The diapers were carried around the room, guests could look at and smell the diapers, and then had to write down what candy bar they thought it was. The person with the most correct answers won the prize. Guess Mommy's Belly Size - Yarn was passed around the room and guests had to cut off the amount of yarn they thought was the new mom's belly size. The guest who was the closest to the correct size won the prize.

Love the idea! Would you be able to give me the info/recipe on how to make the "Rubber Ducky Soap"? Thanks for the help!!

Hi Delia! My sister actually made the soap, but I know she got all the ingredients for it, as well as the molds for the duck shape, from Hobby Lobby. I would check your nearest Hobby Lobby to see what they have, I think they were pretty easy to make! :)

I have a shop on Etsy selling printables (PDF files that I email to customers, and they print and cut on their own). You can visit my shop at www.charmingprintables.etsy.com. I don't currently have this design listed in my shop, but I'd be happy to make a listing and personalize the text for you. If you're interested in purchasing this design, please visit my Etsy shop and select the blue button to "Request a Custom Order." Then I can give you a cost for personalizing this PDF file for you.

Hi I love the cheese and 'quakers' idea, how did you do the cheese? did you use a regular block of cheese or did you have a deli cut the cheese large enough for the cutter?

Hi Nicole, the cheese was cut out using a small cookie cutter. I did not personally cut them, so I can't say what size cheese was used. I believe it was just a regular block of cheese as the cookie cutter was pretty small. It will depend on the cookie cutter you can find, you may need a larger cut of cheese if you have a larger cookie cutter. I hope that helps!
