Party Recap

I was very excited to have this party for my daughter. I always wanted her to have a Hello Kitty party but she was always into something else when it came time to decide on a party theme. She searched and searched for ideas and when she came to me with a HK nerd party I didn't think I could pull it off. Thanks to Allie and Isabella's Parties posted on this website I was able to do it.

Party Highlights

  • Best Moment

Best moment was my daughters reaction when she saw her cake, she loved it!

  • Funniest Moment

The funniest moment was the scavenger hunt. They split into 2 teams of 3 and both were so competitive. We didn't give any of our neighbors a heads up about it but most were cooperative. One family even went out to their garage n practically took it apart trying to find things for the girls. I think next yr we'll have one at the mall. It was a blast!

  • Most Touching Moment

The most touching moment was one of my daughters friends offering to help me clean up at midnight. Of course I didn't take her up on it, but it was nice of her.

  • Best Dressed

My daughter Jessica! She looked so darn cute!

  • Desserts

Cake, cupcakes, rice krispies, and candy

  • Party Favors

Hello Kitty nerd lunch box full of goodies, HK nerd pillow case, nerd accessories, sand art bottles, and sharpie tie dye shirts.

  • Activities / Games

Sand art bottles, scavenger hunt, karaoke and sharpie tie dye shirts.

  • Budget

    1500

  • What People Ate

    Pasta, salad, and garlic bread

Super cute party. This is actually what I'm doing for my daughters 10th Birthday. May I adk what you made the rice krispie faces with ??

Hi Rachel, Thank you! For the rice krispies I used Wilton chocolate wafers. I drew everything on wax paper then just used melted chocolate to glue the pieces on the face. As for the cookie cutter, it was a big star cookie cutter that I formed into a HK face.

I got the plastic apples from orientaltrading.com I forgot to mention to print out the HK face on paper as close to the size of the rice krispie you'll be using. Put it under the wax paper n draw with the chocolate. The glasses were the hardest to work with because once they were set n you'd lift them, they break. So try making 'em a bit thicker:)

Hi, Erica. I got the suspenders and the other accessories at Hot Topic. The lunch boxes I got at candy.com and yes those are plastic mason jars I found during 4th of July at Walmart. All the signs and candy wrappers I made myself. I cut out everything and used scrapbooking paper and just glued or taped them, then I made copies on my printer. I'm not good on the computer at all, but I was happy with what I came up with. Lol! The room the party was in is my sons playroom so I painted the wall with chalk paint. The banner I used for the photo background was made out of thin wood painted with acrylic paint and I cutout the letters and apple from sticky felt sheets. Thank you so much, and I'm happy to share anything else with you!
