Party Recap

Jordan is a dinosaur obsessed and very active 5 year old so we really wanted to get deep into the dinosaur safari theme with lots of safari activities, tools and props to keep the kids engaged. The safari hats, canteens and binoculars were a great way to get the kids in character. Activities featured a dinosaur excavation station, fishing in the "swamp" i.e. pool, a dinosaur egg hunt where the kids found eggs stuffed with dinosaur dollars and could take the dollars to the trading post to buy prizes and finally, a live reptile show.

Keeping 5 year olds entertained can be tough so we had LOTS to do including 2 activity stations - a dinosaur excavation table and a fishing activity where we filled the "swamp" with toy fish and gave them nets and poles to fish them out. For our main events, we had a dinosaur egg hunt and a trading post station where the kids could exchange dinosaur dollars from the egg hunt for toys. And last but not least, a reptile show with snakes, lizards, big bugs and turtles.
