Julia's Glam Disco 12th Birthday Party

This is the recent lolly table I put together for Julia, turning 12 years old. The brief was black, white and hot pink disco theme to which I added gold, glitz and glam elements. The dessert table was filled with cupcakes and lollies in hot pink, gold, yellow and white. I painted some homemade cake stands in metallic gold and hot pink paint, then glued some sequined trim. Old pasta jars were sprayed gold and glammed up with mod podge and pink glitter plus a band of sequined trim to fill with fresh flowers and a plastic Ikea ‘Grab a Glowstick’ frame got the mod podge and gold glitter treatment. My friend Jenny from Concept Designs created the gold glitter ball backdrop and matching printable accessories for the table. I was excited to be able to use my hand-painted metallic gold gumball machine again filled with hot pink sixlets and personalised milk chocolate bars sat on a vintage serving tray covered with diamante bling. A quickly made glitter cardstock ‘bling’ garland brightened up the front of the table.
