Party Recap
Beatrix Potter is a favorite in our house, so Peter Rabbit seemed a natural choice for my daughter's first birthday party.
We chose to keep it small, inviting only family members - aunts, uncles, cousins, grandparents, and great-grandparents.
Party Highlights
-
Best Dressed
Of course, our birthday girl was the best dressed in a cream crocheted dress from Baby Gap!
-
Desserts
Carrot cake cupcakes, chocolate covered pretzels, and assorted pastel candies
-
Activities / Games
We had planned to play with bubbles (in the sape of carrots) and Bunny Badminton outside, but it was 106 degrees...so we let the kids play Bunny Badminton indoors, instead.
-
Budget
I'm not sure because I didn't keep track! Probably around $400 because I had to purchase the buffet server and beverage dispenser, which will be used for years :)
-
Best Moment
Singing Happy Birthday to my sweet little girl...it was the perfect close to a bittersweet year!
-
What People Ate
Curried chicken salad on croissants, assorted garden veggies (of course!) and watermelon.
-
What People Drank
Water (in personalized bottles), sodas, juice boxes, and Kitty's Pink Palmer (signature drink of the birthday girl!)
