Kaylie and Austin's Yaya World

My kids are obsessed with penguins, which they call Yayas due to a slight delay in my daughter's speech when she was very young. The kids are often talking about Yaya World, a magical fantasy world they created in their imaginations. We decided to try to make their fantasy a reality for their 3rd and 5th birthdays and turn our backyward into a real-life Yaya World!

The house was decorated with ballon columns and arches, balloon centerpieces on the tables, penguin garden stakes everywhere and penguins all over the gates of the tennis court.

The guests were greeted by Pablo the Penguin, who hung out with them for awhile. We started off on the tennis court, where we had 2 bouncy houses, a carnival tent with carnival games, face-painting, someone making balloon animals,, a crawl-in igloo that I made, a penguin corn-toss with fish that I made, and another penguin game.

Next there was a 12 piece petting zoo as well as 2 ponies for pony rides

We then moved on to the 88 gallons of fake snow I made. The kids had a ball throwing snowballs and making snow angels in June when it was 85 degrees!

Lunch included pizza, 2 types of salads, fruit salad, wraps and shrimp cocktail. For dessert we had an amazing 3 tiered penguin cake, custom mad enough penguin cookies, and then I made an igloo out of marshmallows and marzipan penguins, as well as chocolate covered marshmallow pops

As favors we had a candy buffet, chocolate penguin lollipops, and inflated penguin toys.

All in all I think the kids enjoyed Yaya World!
