I saw Tom Kat's Alice in Wonderland invitation right around the same time my daughter became enthralled with the movie (not the Johnny Depp version haha!). So, tt was a win-win. :) My opinionated soon-to-be FIVE year old got the party of her dreams. The challenge was to make a girly tea party theme not so girly so the boys would have fun, too. I think we accomplished it!
Everyone had an animal mask to put on then we had the tea party, craft was making a tea pot shaped picture frame, took a nature walk then famous singer/songwriter, Yancy made an appearance and sang some of Kelsey's favorite songs! Everyone loved it. :)
We had an ice cream sundae bar and candy favor bar complete with your own toothbrush! ha! It was a HIT with everyone! YAY!
My little girl felt like a complete princess and is still talking about it to this day. I think Mommy did good. :)
My little princess in her custom tea pot shirt with hot pink pettiskirt! Everyone thought it was funny how she and Yancy (singer) were wearing matching pettis. It was not on purpose, I promise. Kelsey loved it though. :)
Shout! and Hosanna all by the lovely Yancy.
First To Arrive
Besides the photographer and my fabulous co-worker/friend that helped me set up, it was Kelsey's BFF, Abigail and her mom. :)
Last to Leave
The photographer, Nick and my friend, Kati!
Most Fun Table
Kelsey's Sweet Shoppe candy bar party favor. :)
Capturing my daughter's initial reaction when she saw that her favorite singer came to her party! Picture is on my blog.
What People Ate
We had a table of all of Kelsey's favorite snacks: Chick-fil-A chicken nuggets, chips, carrots and hummus, pizza rolls, fruit tray and cherry limeade!
Most Touching Moment
Witnessing my daughter actually feeling like a princess on her special day.
What People Drank
Cherry Limeade, Bottled Water, Capri-Suns, Coke products.
Little brother, Brady, was the candy monster! We could not keep my crazy 2 year old away from the candy table. He ate candy throughout the entire party!
Best Dance Moves
Yancy when she showed everyone her guitar move! :)
Most Embarrassing Moment
The beautiful cherry limeade in the drink dispenser...my 2 yr old son went over to it and yanked on the dispenser so hard that he pulled it out! Cherry limeade leaked everywhere and when we tried to put it back in--it spewed everywhere. lol He's such a boy!
