Keturah's Lalaloopsy 3rd Birthday

A beautiful and cheerful outdoor party with adorable Lalaloopsy theme - Crumbs Sugar Cookie and Jewels Sparkles are sew cute! It was such a wonderful party, Keturah and all of her friends had sew much fun!

The backdrop was a labour of love - hand painted with hand drawn/cut felt accents -flowers, trees, clouds, mountains and all the trimmings to suit lalaloopsyland!

The toy kitchen was fantastic as entertainment for the party guests but a unique way to display some party food - heart shaped pancakes next to the heart skillet, cake pop favours and mini quiches.

The dessert table had rainbow buttons scattered on top, I made the table cloth overlay to match Crumbs Sugar Cookie's apron - yellow gingham with pompom trim and pinned in places.

The Ferris wheel on the cake was a birthday present and I placed the mini Crumbs, Jewels and sister dolls in it.

Two jars had Silly singer versions of the dolls as decorations which proved to be so much fun to hear them sing as the lids were removed from the jars.

Wooden letters of Keturah's name were from her bedroom decor.

Keturah's costume was a fortuitous find - someone had folded it into other garments and hidden it at target - for $5! The shoes were $3 which I hand painted to resemble Crumbs.

Her baby sister, Sivan was dressed to match her costume - Crumbs Sugar Cookie and Sprinkles Spice Cookie Sisters - with a hand made "yum" bib from leftover tablecloth fabric.

The dress I wore also had significance as that was the baby shower dress I wore when pregnant with Keturah - I haven't had a reason to wear it but it matched the theme perfectly.

• What People Ate

  Lalaloopsy sugar cookies, stunning birthday cake, cake pops, mini smoked salmon quiches, heart shaped fruit on skewers, heart shaped pancakes, mini sausage rolls and lots of candy!

• What People Drank

  Tropical fruit punch and ice cold water with lemon slices.

  Cake, cookies and candy!

• Party Favors

  Each place setting had a favour box, complete with colored markers with rollers to colour in their placemat pages and make their own dolls, a custom wrapped chocolate, bubbles, lalaloopsy eraser, hair clip, lalaloopsy temporary tattoos, lalaloopsy party blower, lalaloopsy party hat and a lolly bag

• Activities / Games

  Pin the bow on Crumbs Sugar Cookie and Make your own doll. Our outdoor play equipment and wooden kitchen was very popular with the guests.

  Sarah went above and beyond the role of photographer - damage control when a gust of wind knocked over some decor and she entertained the children as she took photos of them.
