Kian’s 2nd Airplanes Birthday
ByParty Recap
Choosing a theme for my son’s 2nd Birthday took some thinking! Since he’s still to small to tell me himself, I had to think what he would like! And he loves airplanes!! Everytime one flies over, he gets so excited! And since I try to stick to Disney movie themes, I had to go with Planes! All the cardboard decorations was made by myself. Most of the food I also baked and cooked myself. I had some help from my sister with the cloud cotton balls! The clouds hanging in the backgound took me the longest as I am not big on needlework! I tried to make the kids food look like a lunch tray on a airplane. My favourite rhing about the party was all the photos on the black board. I printed photos of my birthday boy from the last year and everyone enjoyed looking at these photos. The cake... Sho... This was my first cake that I baked and decorated all by myself. And I must say, I was very impressed with the end product. And my son didn’t complain when he smashed and ate it in his smash the cake shoot! ;) The party started at 1, just after his nap. I dressed him in his pilot jacket and glasses and took him out to meet all his guests! Everyone loved the theme, especially the boys! Everyone got a chance to take a photo at the photobooth with the “Pilot Licence” board. Kids loved it! And off course the Pinata was the highlight for the kids! All in all, I think everything looked very nice and the food tasted good! Everyone had a good time!
