Party Recap

I had so much fun styling this Race-Car party for the most adorable 3-year old! He chose the theme, his mama decided on the color scheme and they left the rest of the details up to me. Being that this is a common theme, I wanted to include some details to make it unique. Guests were welcomed by a “road” carpet, and racing helmets getting them ready to race. I saw the adorable beverage station on Pinterest and decided that it was a must. The next detail that was a must for me was the racetrack. I also found this tutorial on Pinterest and modified it a bit by painting it to coordinate with the color scheme of the party and added a start and finish line. I love how it turned out! We put race cars in the favor bags and they had a blast racing them. For entertainment there was a race car “train” that the kiddos got to take rides in. I prepared the kids’ food and the adult food was catered. For dessert we kept it simple with cake and cupcakes from a local bakery, I just added some race car themed toppers. The kiddos had a blast which is always my gage of success.

Hi Amy, We made them...you can find the gasoline, diesel and kerosine cans on Amazon (I think Walmart also sells them but not sure of the cost or if they have all 3) as well as the spout. My husband drilled holes in them and inserted the spouts. They are not as easy as they sound so make sure you have it all planned out before you still the holes. Good luck! ~Amanda

Hi Amanda from Perfect Little Party planner! Great job on the drink dispenser! Have you ever thought of making a youtube video on making them? I know I would watch it! Also, I know you said your husband and yourself made them from scratch. Is there anyway I could buy them off of you? Or you could make them again and I would pay for that service? Thank you!- Sumayyah

You can buy the cans at Menards. They were about 12.00 each. Bought spigot 15.00 at local restaurant supply store. Drilled hole for spigot but without drilling another hole on top back of container, no way to hold onto nut to tighten. Suggestions?

I apologize for all of the unanswered questions, I am just seeing all of the requests for the drink dispensers. I had my 3rd child and haven’t styled a party outside the family for years!! I found a tutorial on Pinterest when I made these and I’m not sure where you can find it now. My husband drilled the holes, slightly smaller than the spigots we got from Home Depot and once they were inserted, we used sealant to prevent drips. They held up for the 3 hour party and not sure beyond that since they were for a client. Glad so many enjoyed these!
