Party Recap

My daughter wanted an Ariel themed party for her 5th birthday. I've always loved planning my children's parties and start months before. I try to make them a bit different and so for Ariel, I opted to go with a different yet still cute little mermaid theme. I found the invitation template on Etsy.com. Cakes are always important to me and I found an amazingly talented baker, who is also a family member and just starting her business - Carolina Reyes. I told her exactly what I wanted and she recreated it to the t. She also did the cupcakes and marshmallow pops. I took care of the decorating done in my photography studio located in my backyard. Pictures were taken by this proud mama www.jennycelly.com The princess was from Tiarawishes.com They also brought along the children's tea table and outfits. The base for my water bottles and marshmallow pops is just styrofoam wrapped in colurful paper. The bottles for the pink lemonade were little jars I found at the dollar store. I personalized each little girl's drinking cups too. All labels where done using word, printing and a glue gun. Every year I also buy a book according to the theme that I get all guests to sign with a special message for my child. My daughter was thrilled seeing her Ariel birthday party become a reality. The way I see it, is that they are little only once and these memories will stay with them forever. Despite all the stress in planning and sleepless nights gluing labels, rhinestones and ribbons, seeing their face of excitement makes it all worth it.
