Party Recap...
My Brother Shawn and his wife Veronica are expecting their 2nd child, a baby boy and I wanted to throw them a small family baby shower so that my new nephew Mak would have some new baby things!!! To add a fun twist I asked my brother to pick the theme and he chose a Hunting theme. The mommy to be was very surprised to see what the theme was when her invite arrived in the mail!! And as Veronica is always easy to please she was really thrilled. So then the planning began....I went with all camo plates, cups, and napkins and added in some brown and Hunter green material for the table cloth of the table. I decorated with small pine trees and snow and added in pinecones and real tree branches and limbs to get the full affect of the real outdoors. For food we served chili with rice, cornbread, beef jerky sticks, fruit tray and cheese and crackers along with peanuts and mixed nuts. We served tea and water to drink and the cake was made to match the invitation. We played lots of fun baby games and had lots of laughs. The shower turned out fabulous !!! I guess you could say it was a REAL hunting Experience!!
