Party Recap...
It was a crisp fall day, but it was not raining! Which was better than the original date for the party. Hurricane Irene crashed our original date of 8/28/11. Not sure who had more fun playing the games, the kids or the adults, but everyone seemed to enjoy their time celebrating the day with us.
Party Highlights
Best Moment
Watching papa wrangle all 25+ kids in a matter of minutes to play the games when I tried for 15 minutes with no luck.
Most Touching Moment
Hearing the birthday boy reading his own birthday cards at 5 years old! So grown up!
Funniest Moment
Finding Memere in the bounce house with the kids!
What People Ate
Carnival fare was served. Popcorn, Hot dogs, pretzels, cotton candy, pizza, Fried oreos
What People Drank
Lemonade, cool aid, water, Cotton Candy Cosmos (adults), John Daly's (adult version of Arnold Palmer's)
Dessert
Ice cream cone cupcakes, 6 layer Rainbow cake, candy buffet,
Activities / Games
We played carnival games. There was a homemade Big Mouth game, Magic Key, Ring Toss, Potty Toss, Tin Can Alley, Guess How Many, Lucky Duck and a Moonwalk. We had a photo booth with fun props as well as a face painting table!
Budget
$400 including the bounce house!
Party Favors
Candy buffet and prizes from the prize table including swirl pops, whizzers, candy dots, maze games, parachute men, matchbox cars, squirt guns and ring pops
