Party Recap...
My little girl loves her books. Reading is such an important and favorite pastime, that we decided to give her her very own library birthday party!
We emptied out both my kiddos libraries and used their books (as well as a couple of mine and my husband's from childhood) throughout the decor. Most other decorations were things I put together from around the house so the budget was kept down. Activities were tailored for the age of the kiddos, who all had a great time!
Party Highlights
Best Moment
Reading to the little guys and gals. They were so quiet and attentive...the best audience ever!
What People Ate
Peanut butter & jelly sandwiches (shaped liked bookworms and books), veggies, alphabet crackers and cookies
What People Drank
Water
Dessert
Cupcakes
Activities / Games
Decorate bookmarks, write stories in blank books, library checkout (kiddos were issued their own personal library cards which they presented when checking out a book. When the book was returned their cards were stamped. After three stamps, they showed their card and received a prize which was their loot bags), story time
Budget
$35 (just a couple things were purchased from OTC and a couple prints made)
Party Favors
Mini bookbags that contained: a pencil, bookmarks, book-themed rubber ducky, and colored pencil
