Lil' Miss PURRFECT 5th Birthday

I had six days to prepare for the Lil' Miss PURRFECT Hello Kitty 5th Birthday. Once my client showed me the invite and matching plates which I was to coordinate everything around, it was crunch time. When I came across the gorgeous ribbon topiary from BerrySweetParties http://www.etsy.com/shop/BerrySweetParties
I couldn't resist incorporating them into the design so I had Katie customize the colors and I couldn't have been happier with them. They were just darling.With limited time, I needed to come up with a backdrop that was fun and whimsical that would tie all the elements together. Hence, I came up with the streamers that I had seen on 100layercake.com. This was a design that I had wanted to recreate and seized the opportunity since it suited this theme well. Printed Ink http://www.facebook.com/PrintedInkDesigns did a phenomenal job with executing the banner and favor tags. My sister in law helped me in a pickle with the design of the wrappers on the Hershey Bars. We personalized them by adding the #5 on them. Dania's cake http://www.facebook.com/pages/Danias-Cake as usual perfectly executed with the most detail the cake, cupcakes, cookies, and chocolate covered oreo cookies. Alyson Sivek Photography http://www.facebook.com/alyson.sivek.photography did a great job capturing the sweet birthday girl's excitement! I had a couple hiccups which is to be expected with limited time frame, but I think the end result was "purrfect!"

  I've wanted to do this for quite some time and with limited resources, I thought this was the perfect occasion to create this design. It was laborious cutting each individual streamer for the whimsical look, but worth every second for the final result. It's so playful and flirty and purrfect for a Hello Kitty themed event!
