Party Recap

A colorful celebration for a first birthday! Our Little Monsters were a huge hit with guests at this fantastic party. The color palette was a rainbow of bright colors combined with chevron print in orange and black.
I wanted to feature a large fluffy monster as our perfect background for this amazing dessert table. Large eyes and a mouth gave life to this blue monster. My friend Johanna Padín from GloboArte created two stacked monster balloon columns to frame our background, as well as a stand alone yellow monster for the favor/gifts table.
The dessert table is to die for with all of this color and sweetness. We served our usual favorites: monster cookies, eyeball Oreos, marshmallows in stripey straws, brownies with monster toppers, cheesecakes and nutella tarts. The amazing cake by Jovanna Valentín at Jovadiel Party Shop was a perfect design inspired on the little monster clip art we used for all the paperie. We used several of our monsters to decorate the areas.
I set up a drinks station with fruit punch and embellished water bottles with stripey straws. Items such as cups, napkins and favor boxes are from Oriental Trading.
Favor bags were transformed with cute monster faces and a thank you tag attached with ribbon. The favors included more candy, monster cups, plush items and monster rubber duckies from OT.
I adore the centerpieces! I created fluffy monster heads with googly eyes for a fun pop of color.
This has to be also one of my favorite parties so far. Hope you enjoyed the photos!

Hello! To answer all of your questions. Tablecloths were rented locally but you can probably purchase them online at www.efavormart.com. The fuzzy material we found locally also at a fabrics store. It was with the fabrics used to make rugs and pillow cases. You can certainly use a shaggy rug for a similar effect. The balloons were made by my local balloon artist.
