My husband travels for work & the kids were really missing him, as was I, so I decided to do something special besides the candy, card, and stuffed animals we usually give them. So I had a lil picnic for them. we did it indoors because it happened to be raining that day, but the kids LOVED it*

  when we were talking about why we feel loved and Emily started crying because she missed Daddy, who was in California working at the time. We all hugged on her and cheered her up!

  when my son slipped while leaning over the picnic and got his hand in the mashed potatoes ;p
