  • Budget

Well under $200. The food/drinks/cake cost $60, cake and cupcakes were made from scratch at home, very simple but big impact! All other food was cut and prepared at home as well. The tags, invites, thank you's, banners, etc. were all designed/printed/made by hand by myself and a friend (we found a website to download star wars fonts for free which made a huge difference in the look and feel!). All of the star wars bagged favors, tablecloths, napkins, plates, etc. were given to me (these were not necessary to make the party great though. I had planned on plain black, blue, red, green and was going to mix and match) Pool noodles and felt for the robes and sabers were bought on sale/with coupons for very cheap and with some cutting and duct tape were the hit of the party! Less then $40 all together and very simple and quick. Birthday boys outfit was handmade by me (his mom) with two patterns bought on sale for $2 and fabric on sale and with coupons for about $15. We had all of the extra decorations, cookie jar, darth clock, star wars ornaments, etc. from my husband's and brother's minor obsession. We had a large Darth Vader cutout that we got from Wal-mart for free when they took down a display. Bubbles were bought on sale at the end of summer for $.25/6 so $1 for 18! We decided the theme early and shopped sales to get what we wanted, all though because we had such a small budget some things were cut from the plan or changed, it ended up perfect! A bit more work, but completely worth the end result!
