Party Recap...
Inspired by a trip we took to New York City this past Summer, my son asked for a "Big Apple"-themed party to celebrate his turning 9. We were thankful we had a beautiful day and included 30 of his classmates, cub scouts friends and neighbors. At first I was not sure how to pull this theme together, but everything came together well. My sister made "I heart NY" t-shirts for each child, which made for great photos. We turned our backyard into Central Park and enjoyed hot dogs, soft pretzels and pizza. A friend lent us her golf cart and we pretended it was the Staten Island Ferry and took rides to go see the Statue of Liberty. Each child had their picture taken with the Statue and we played patriotic music during the ride. The kids played baseball in "Yankee Stadium" (our front yard). Enjoy the photos and hope you are inspired!

Very creative. I love it. Glad to see a party not to far from me. I'm in Atlanta but travel to NYC all the time to visit my in laws.
