Luke dived face first into his cake!

Best Dressed

Luke had a personalized hat that I ordered off Etsy as well as a shirt. After the cake, he changed into his Thing 2 shirt to match big brother in his Thing 1 shirt.

What People Ate

We had finger sandwiches, green eggs and ham and nuggets.

First birthday

Dessert

I made red velvet cupcakes topped with cream cheese frosting. At the last minute (literally just prior to serving) we added blue cotton candy. The cupcake wrappers said "Thing 1" and "Thing 2" so they were "Thing 1 and Thing 2 cupcakes!" The topper was made by Cupcake Couture- a 6 inch round personally for Luke with the hat topper designed to match our decor.

Activities / Games

We played the card game of Dr. Seuss I can do that! They also colored their own bookmark. We had face painting so they could look like the Cat, then they could take a picture with the Cat in the Hat that we had on the wall.

Party Favors

Each child got Thing 1 and Thing 2 cotton candy, as well as a Dr. Seuss Library bag that I ordered from Demco. Each bag had a small book as well as apple crisps and Dr. Seuss goodies. They also got to take home their bookmark they created. The cups they got I ordered from Oriental Trading Company.
