On June 5th, Bellafare held a Mad Men themed joint 50th Birthday Party at the Belle Haven Club in Greenwich, CT. The main idea was to incorporate bright greens, yellows and whites, while encouraging all of the guests to dress up in 1960 "Mad Men" attire. Everyone had a great time getting into the theme, especially at the custom photo booth, designed based on the episode of Sterling Cooper's Derby Day party. Bellafare provided vintage props of all kinds for people to incorporate into their photos and the photos were available to everyone to download for free the next day. A caricature artist was on hand to draw up the guests, and even the food and drink were part of the theme, as we featured pigs in a blanket hors d'oeuvres, Vodka Gimlets, and Tom Collins (garnished with lemons and limes, of course!).
All of the custom designed stationary coordinated, from the invitations and envelopes to the menus at each place setting. Wheat grass was used for the escort card table to incorporate the green color while also giving the party a summer feel.
While guests danced the night away on a white dance floor strewn with Mad Men images, the band, decked out in white tuxes, sang 60's classics on vintage microphones. Images of the guests of honor through their 50 years streamed onto the roof of the tent, and, as more pictures were taken at the photo booth, those photos streamed as well as the evening progressed.
Benny Goodman's "Sing, Sing, Sing" was played by the band as guests entered the tent for dinner.
Bellafare surprised the couple with personalized two-tiered birthday cakes topped with sparklers, brought out by waiters as "Happy Birthday" was sung by the band.
