Elmo party: Madison is one!!

Decorations were made by myself and Madison's talented godmother Grace Biron....We wanted something girly but a princess theme was out of the question as Madison is hooked on Elmo and has no interest in princesses at this time....so Elmo it had to be...Party platters of food were ordered from Portas da Cidade, a favorite restaurant, and friends and family brought desserts...Candy buffet was center stage at party and showcased a beautiful cake made by Teresa's Tasty Temptations (not only was it beautiful but it was delicious as well!!) Daddy even dressed as Elmo and was the hit of the party...that certainly was Madison's favorite part of the party.

• What People Ate

  Portuguese buffet prepared by Portas Da Cidade restaurant located in Westport, MA and desserts brought in by family

• What People Drank

  soda, water (had to purchase from site) for adults and Sesame Street juice boxes for kiddies.

• Best Moment

  Our surprise guest Elmo (Madison's Daddy) was a hit with young and old and especially the birthday girl!!

• Funniest Moment

  When I realized as driving home that I never put out dessert shooters , forgot to order pizza, put out grab basket for when guests departed...Oh well...can't remember everything!!

• Most Touching Moment

  when Madison's sister Kate, who is almost 23 years older, played the song "Madison's world" as a surprise for Mommy! And then later when Mommy read the special birthday letter that Kate had written to her baby sister.

• Best Dressed

  The birthday girl of course!!! Mommy ordered an adorable Elmo applique from Etsy seller MadiandBill...birthday hat, tutu and matching high chair tulle skirt was made by Mommy...pouf headband made by godmother.

• Desserts

  Elmo birthday cake created by Teresa's Tasty Temptations, Fall River, MA top tier white cake with raspberry filling, bottom tier pink velvet with cream cheese filling. Elmo cookies, cake pops, desserts brought in by family and friends

• Party Favors

  Candy buffet for adults and older kids smaller ones had Elmo themed goody bags containing sippy cups, rattles, board books,bath books and hairbrush and comb sets

• Activities / Games

  balloon animals, coloring and tattoo station for kids, Elmo word scramble, Madison World Trivia game, guess how many goldfish in centerpieces
