Party Recap
Maisy loves Sylvanian Families and as we wanted a small party this year it seemed the perfect theme!
The girls had a great time.
Party Highlights
-
Desserts
Maisy chose a strawberry milkshake cheesecake instead of a birthday cake so we served that at the end of the party.
-
Party Favors
Each girl was given 2 Sylvanian figures (pre-loved!) a handmade apron and a bag of chocolate acorns to take home
-
Activities / Games
We kept things quite relaxed - they played in Maisy's room with all her Sylvanians, I wanted to do a craft activity but knowing these girls I knew they'd all want to do their own thing so I put lots of felt, fabric, paper and Sylvainan catalogues in baskets on the table and let them do as they chose - some made felt clothing and bedding, others made a collage - it was great seeing what they came up with :) We also had the photo booth by the fabulouse Georgia at www.happilyevercaptured.com
-
What People Ate
I bought everything in the supermarket that was animal themed or 'mini' so there was a lot of different crisps and biscuits!! I also did small sandwiches and token grapes and cherry tomatoes (got to attempt at a healthy option hey!?)
-
What People Drank
They shared a big jug of cordial
-
Best Dressed
The birthday girl wore a dress handmade for her in the Sylvanian style - she looked adorable.
-
Details and Decor
I wanted to keep decor simple but bright and cutesy so we used baskets to store everything (favours, crafts etc) and I bought lots of different ribbons and trims to tie to helium balloons. I created each girl some animal ears to wear (though some brought their own which was great) We set up the table with store bought party wear and I put two Sylvanian characters at each setting with one holding a balloon tied with string and a washi tape name tag. The artwork you see on the favour tags was also used on the invites (no picture boohoo) and was used with kind permission from Lily at http://lilys-sylvanian-families.blogspot.co.uk/ I also contacted Sylvanian families who very kindly sent Maisy stickers, wrapping paper and lots of old magazines that we used in the crafting.

I'm currently putting together a blog article on Sylvanian Families Party ideas and wondered if its persmissable at all to use a couple of these photos ie the loot bags and the figures tied to balloons. I'm happy to credit you for photos and a link to the site. thanks Philippa www.sylvanianspecialtystore.com.au
