My cousin Erica, who's also my best friend, and I were excited to style this party for my daughter. We love Hello Kitty & couldn't wait to pull together our ideas for a fabulous event! Erica is one of the most creative people I know and she did not disappoint. It was a gymnastics party & my daughter, her preschool friends, & family members had a blast!
What People Ate
Kids - pizza, popcorn, chips, & fruit salad. Adults - chicken salad, pizza, spinach dip, jalapeño artichoke dip, & fruit salad w/fruit dip.
What People Drank
Water for everyone. Kids - juice boxes, vanilla & chocolate milk. Adults - soda
The entire party!
Many of the guests were 3 yrs old, so I had to explain the piñata. I guess they didn't understand because they just stood there in awe when all the candy started falling. I had to yell "get the candy!" for them to pick it up.
Most Touching Moment
While my daughter was doing gymnastics, she ran over to me and said "this is the best party ever, Mommy!" She made me smile. :-)
The birthday girl, of course.
Chocolate cake, vanilla & chocolate cupcakes, & pink lemonade cake push pops.
Everything was Hello Kitty themed! Girls & boys got a candy cup w/blowout, candy roll, cotton candy, pez, chocolate sucker, rice krispy treats, Hershey's nuggets, & rainbow favor box filled with tattoos, coloring pages & crayons, plus "girl" or "boy" themed items. Girls' box- cherry scented note pad, pencil w/eraser, lipgloss ring, bubble necklace, candy necklace & bracelet, headband . Boys' box - whistle, puzzle maze, yo yo, bubbles, "bow-tie".
Activities / Games
Gymnastics instructors organized tons of activities for the kids - obstacle course, tunnels, rings, beams, air tram, inflatable, "parachute", relay races, musical chairs, hot potato, duck-duck goose.
Good question...mostly everything was homemade or handmade by me & my cousin. We still spent $$$$ on the rest.
