Party Recap...
Planning my Son's first Birthday Party was so much fun, I have been wanting to host a kids party forever - so I could'nt wait to start planning! Since Max loves being outside & his bedroom has a nature theme,I decided to go with a Magical Garden Party - I thought Enchanted sounded a bit too girly!
The colour palette was red & white and had lots of toadstools & garden/woodland critters.
The dessert table had a brush fencing screen backdrop that I put leaves into and had red & white bunting. I also make a cute little 'tree' out of painted branches with flowers, leaves, lady bugs & butterflies stuck on, in a red painted pot for the main feature on the candy buffet table.
Party Highlights
Best Moment
seeing the children enjoying themselves & singing happy birthday and cutting my baby's birthday cake for the first time.
Funniest Moment
one of the older kids making Max laugh so much while he was blowing bubbles.
Best Dressed
Max of course! I had a custom make t shirt made up saying 'I'm the Birthday Boy'
What People Ate
mini burgers, mini sandwiches, cupcakes, jelly cheesecake slice, meringues, white chocolate mud birthday cake
What People Drank
punch, beer, wine, champagne
