Party Recap

A Superhero obsessed little boy makes a party theme easy to choose! Rather than being a specific character based theme, I wanted to create a more pop art traditional based look. I gathered loads of cardboard boxes and turned them into high rise buildings and converted a little cardboard shopfront into a news stand with copies of the 'Daily Planet' & 'Daily Bugle' on the front. I added a huge Spider-Man balloon atop the tallest building.
For the cake I made a double layer 'Mega Max' cake that was white chocolate mud caek with cream cheese frosting. We also had 2 different types of cake pops and cupcakes amongst other treats. For the themed candy bar I used green rock candy as 'kryptonite' pops and turned plain lollipops into little masked and caped crusaders with the help of some great printables.
The absolute highlight of the day - for both kids and parents (especially the Dad's) was roof top arrival of Spider-Man who after jumping down from the roof, kept the kids entertained for his entire stay and even helped the birthday boy blow out his candles!
