Meredith's Baby Shower

We ended up having a small baby shower for my new niece on the way. My SIL picked hot pink and zebra and we threw in Minnie Mouse to complete the theme. It turned out really cute and I got a lot of compliments on the way it was decorated. I only got a few pictures before my camera died. I will hopefully add more soon. The most upsetting was since we only knew 20 people were showing up, we down graded from a nice fondant cake to a Walmart cake. I went to pick up the cake and it wasn't the way I ordered it. No zebra stripes on the front only around the edges and I was nearly in tears. After Walmart tried to fix it and knew I was upset, they gave me the cake for free. I will not be ordering a cake from them again. This is twice they messed up my orders.

• Party Favors

  The women got a mini shower gel from Bath and Body works and the men got a shower gel from Old spice. I had them in cellophane bags with a Minnie Mouse tag that said, " Thank you!"

• Activities / Games

  We had a diaper raffle for two prizes: movie theatre prize: movie theatre candy, big popcorn bucket, two small popcorn buckets, pop corn, and a $10 gc to AMC. Spa bucket: was filled with all types of goodies: shower gel, lotion, hand soap, tweezers, nail files, bath fizz balls, shower fizz dics, zebra make up bag, etc. We played Smell the Poop game - different chocolates melted in diapers that were numbered. I wasn't expecting most people to get this, but we had a lot of winners and ended up doing a raffle for a prize. We also played ABC game where guests had 2 minutes to write down something baby related for each letter of the alphabet and our last game was baby bingo - guests had to write down what gifts mom would get for baby. I found really cute zebra Minnie Mouse bingo cards on Etsy. I also had a table set up with diapers and different colored Sharpie markers. Guests were able to write funny sayings on the diapers for Mommy and Daddy.

  We split everything as a family. I had decorations/dessert table. My other SIL had paid to rent the room and mommy to be helped buy the food/drinks.

  We ordered 4 different 3ft sub sandwiches, potato salad, chips.

  Watching the parents to be open all their gifts.

  Playing the " Smell the Poop" game. Hilarious watching people smell the chocolate aka poop.
